About me
My name is Michael Yanovsky. I’m a massage therapist with over 20 years of experience, based in Alberta, Canada. I have been studying and practicing facial massage since 2007.
Since 2009, I have functioned as the Israeli franchise director of the Elena Zemskova International Massage School (which is part of what is likely the first aesthetic massage school in the world, founded in 1998).
In 2014, I officially became an instructor of the Chiromassage IQ method.
In 2010, I founded a brand and opened (under the mother school) the Resonance Massage Arts Academy, which continues to grow internationally with depth, high standards, and vision.
Over the years, I have trained over 800 students in more than 120 courses, and I regularly lecture at industry events about advanced facial massage.
What I love most about teaching is watching students go through that same shift. We start with the science—we learn the structures, the techniques, and the reasoning behind them. But as the work deepens, something else begins to open. There’s a moment—quiet, subtle—when both the practitioner and the client sense that something meaningful is happening. It’s not easy to describe. It’s no longer about technique. It’s as if both sides are tapping into something familiar yet difficult to name. And once you experience it, you know: this work goes far beyond what you thought it was.
Yes, it’s still an anti-aging facial massage. But genuinely, it can be much more than that. It becomes a practice of care, insight, and connection with ourselves and with the people we touch.
I was never satisfied with simplistic explanations. I have always had a deep desire to understand what’s really happening in massage, not just how it works, but how different movements affect the body’s layers, and how a person’s inner world shows up on the face, influences aging, and shapes how we perceive them. While I’m grounded in anatomy and a scientific approach, what truly moves me is how massage reaches these unseen layers, not just the surface, but a person’s mood, presence, and emotional state.
Chiromassage IQ is the perfect language for that. It’s where knowledge meets intuition. It allows me to explore human beings through touch, which is both precise and alive. For me, each session is more than a treatment—it’s a conversation without words. That’s what keeps me inspired, and what I aim to pass on to my students.
I’ve never been satisfied with surface-level explanations. Since the beginning of my career, I’ve wanted to understand what’s really happening in massage—what each movement does under the skin, how it affects the deeper layers of the body, and how all of that connects to how a person feels, experiences stress, and even ages.
For me, massage has never been merely about skin and muscles. I’ve always been fascinated by how someone’s inner world—their emotions, tension, or stress—manifests on the face. And how, with the right kind of touch, one can actually address those aspects without saying a word.
Chiromassage IQ provided me with the language to do that. It’s a method based on solid anatomy, biomechanics, and aging science, but it also leaves room for something more human. It’s precise yet intuitive, technical but deeply personal.
